MY INTERESTS

Animanga: There are too many anime/manga that i like for me to list here, so this is kind of a highlights list. You can find my full list on my MAL linked on the home page. Girls Last Tour (my all time favorite animanga), Toheart, Haruhi Suzumiya series, Evangelion series, K-on series, Cardcaptor Sakura, Lucky Star, Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou, Onimai, anything by Uziga Waita, Shoujo Tsubaki, Clannad, Galaxy Angel, Di Gi Charat, Tamamo-chan's a Fox, etc.

Games: I don't really play a lot of games, only really rhythm games and visual novels (if they even count as games lol). Muse Dash, Osu!, Danganronpa series, Subahibi, Saya no Uta, Omori, Mogeko Castle, Wadanohara, etc.

Music: My music taste is quite varied and i mostly listen to general genres rather than specific artists, but heres a list of some artists/bands i like. Mindless Self Indulgence, Goreshit, KMFDM, Rammstein, Shoebill, DJ Technorch, DJ Sharpnel, Lapfox Trax/Halley Labs (esp. Renard, FIAB, Rotteen), Coakira. Genres: Eurobeat, Hardstyle, Happy Hardcore, Breakcore, Gabber, and more :P

Movies: I don't watch movies often because i find i can get bored of them quickly (ruined attention span lol). Zero Day, Donnie Darko, The Truman Show, All about Lili Chou Chou..(im blanking on movies i enjoy right now but i'll add more when i remember).

True Crime: I dont really have anything to list for this category. I've been intrested in true crime for as long as i've had unmonitored internet access (longer than i can remember), but as i got older it changed from a fasination with the morbid (like my obsession with ghost stories as a kid) to a genuine interest in the people who commit the crimes. I don't consider myself a part of the 'TCC' because most of those part of that community are hibristophiliac teenage girls, but i guess i do align my views with those of some killers, and i find i respect them for having the courage to go through with what they did. Mostly i focus my interest on mass shooters.

Other: Misc other things that dont fit in with the other categories i listed. Figure/CD/DVD collecting, Learning Languages, History (especially: 20th Century Europe, WW2, Cold War, General Russian History).

Welcome to my about page.

You can call me Rena. 17 y/o living in the UK. I decided to make this page because i wanted somewhere i could exist online without havimg to have a social media account, and also because old websites are cool and i love neocities.

I first discovered neocities in late 2019 when i found it linked on someone's instagram profile in place of where i would usually have expected a carrd (the danganronpa kin carrd days were real), but i quickly gave up on actually making a site when i realised you had to code it all yourself lol. That changed in august of 2022, and i finally decided to give making a website a go.

I plan on mostly using this site as a blog/diary-type-thing, and i'll mostly be talking about things that interest me and my personal life/vents. Maybe i'll post my art semi-regularly as well.

As for my personal life, im borderline a shut in who only leaves the house for school. I find connecting with people exceptionally difficult which results in me not really having any friends. That's also partially a reason why im making this website, im chronically lonely lol. I dont really have a lot of hobbies, i draw sometimes but that's pretty much it. I spend most of my hours watching youtube or anime or browsing the internet. I want to learn more languages at some point. If i ever gain the motivation to i'd love to learn Russian and Japanese. I taught myself a little Japanese and the Cyrillic alphabet, but i want to learn more.
